KUSTAA brings an International flare from Swedish/Colombian, Tina Bonfils, and Basque/French, Yon Idiart. Experienced in the Los Angeles Restaurant industry and Event Planning, Bonfires, and Idiart brings to Kustaa a passion for eating good food, cheese, and wine.
Living locally in West Los Angeles, Bonfils is excited to share her expertise to the community. Growing up in Europe, our small Mom and Pop markets were like family, a daily meal came from the local butcher or Boulangerie. My goal is to have the experience as a family community and bring the neighbors together.
Tina Bonfils grew up in Malmö, Sweden. At the age of 18, Bonfils’ mother encouraged her to go to the United States to learn English and find a career. Bonfils started working in retail fashion, but it wasn’t until she worked in a restaurant, where food and wine became her passion. She then started dreaming of having her own business. Bonfils brings her party planning and catering experience from Four Oaks and Bistango with Chef “Claude Segal”, Langan’s Brasserie, and Drai’s / L.A. / VEGAS with Andre Bodisco.
With the support of her husband, Yon Idiart grew up on a seaside town, off southwestern France Basque Coast, known as Biarritz, France. At the early age of 16, he spent his time working at his father’s restaurant. He looked up to his father’s hard work, and he knew that his passion would follow. Idiart enrolled in Les Rocailles Biarritz Culinary School in France where he graduated in 1981. Looking to the future, Idiart wanted to bring his passion for food and wine to the States. Idiart set up to discover his culinary passion, where his 30-year career now stands. Idiart is the former owner of Lilys in Venice, CA, and is the Director of Service and Catering for the Patina Group, Event Management for Walt Disney Concert Hall, LACMA, and the Emmy Awards.
